The binaries are the same, but be warned that if you are also talking about
copying over cygwin itself, you won't retain important settings stored in
your registry like the cygwin mount points. It's better to use the cygwin
setup program to install cygwin.
But the tools tree should copy just fine, although it is probably important
that they are put in the same location, e.g. if it's in c:\cygwin\tools on
your NT box, then put it in c:\cygwin\tools on your 98 box.
Another warning: it is known that cygwin is less reliable on windows 98
compared with NT (or more accurately that windows 98 is less reliable with
cygwin!). Don't be surprised if you do get some odd problems.
