Hellow Support,

I am Arrow AE in the ESC working on an Altera support issue.

The question is the following:

One of our customers is looking for latest eCoS driver for Altera's EPCS serial
config Flash. I could not find it but initial search shows that it can be
generated by the customer itself. Can you help?

More information directly regarding this issue:

Basically the customer is looking for the eCos driver for reading/writing to
your EPCS serial configuration device. The driver package does not seem to be
included in the Altera's eCos installer. The current installer they are using
is the nios2ecos51.exe which was released in 2006 (i.e. part of the Altera
Quartus 5.1 NIOS II software release).

-------------------------------------------------------------

Note: The current version of Quartus II that has been released is 8.0. Is the
eCos driver for configuring flash part of this release, or even the previous
release, Quartus II 7.2.

Most likely the config device they will use is and EPCS16 or and EPCS4.

Do you know where I can find the eCos driver to program these types of config
devices could be?

Please email back a response to dsims@arrow.com or you can call me directly at
303-824-4568.

Regards,

David Sims
