[Bug 1000617] Tree nodes disappear when tree window is narowed.

On my machine Ubuntu 8.04 LTS it's same with both builds.
I made some further tests so I'll try to describe it more precisely:

Tree window (TW) has two columns Left (tree icons) and Right (version info i.e.
"current"). Between Left and Right there is a tiny middle dragging border line.

As I move right TW edge to the left Right column shrinks and until I stay to
the 
right from the middle dragging line it works OK.

As soon as I move TW right edge to left of middle dragging line, Right column
shifts to the left and overlaps part of Left column. Also middle dragging line
disappears.

By moving right TW edge close left TW border the normal condition is restored
(seems like it enters some default state).
