[Bug 1000071] New: Scrollbar problems

http://bugs.ecos.sourceware.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1000071

           Summary: Scrollbar problems
           Product: eCos
           Version: 2.0
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: HostOS: Win NT/2k/XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: normal
         Component: ConfigTool
        AssignedTo: jld@ecoscentric.com
        ReportedBy: jifl@ecoscentric.com
         QAContact: ecos-bugs@sources.redhat.com

This is on configtool v2.0 on clean install of eCos 2.0.

I'm cheating and giving a few problems here, but I think they may both be
related to the scrollbar. Delete the key HKCU\Software\eCos Configuration
Tool\Window Size key in the registry for the config tool. Start the config tool.
Now just click on the bottom border and shrink the window vertically slowly.

Firstly note that the Properties pane disappears. Once disappeared if you
enlarge the window again, it doesn't come back and you can't get it back, except
by deleting the registry key again.

Secondly, if you continue shrinking the window vertically, once the top of the
output pane border hits the contents of the configuration pane, the
configuration pane goes loopy for a few seconds with the scrollbar going wild.
And the output pane also disappears, never to return.

The final problem is that if you size the window to be reasonably small (no need
to have reproduced the above problems first)... the default size works for me
even, but it may be display dependent. Then expand the "HAL" in the
configuration pane by clicking on the plus, and then also expand "Dynamic memory
allocation". Scroll the window and you'll see some of the contents at the bottom
have disappeared! If you expand and contract the Dynamic memory allocation
package, you'll see the scrollbar is not affected. If you enlarge the window,
the missing contents can be seen again. Perhaps it's something specific to when
a package/component is expanded such that it should push the display location of
the other options down, but there is only room to do that by moving the expanded
package up vertically in the display... and the scrollbar doesn't take that into
account.

Note also that when you scroll up and down through this window, in the final
row, there is a left-right scrollbar and to the right of the divider there is a
disembodied value for the config option obscured by the scrollbar. Is that
right? Seems possibly odd visually, but I'm not too bothered.
