Hi Rafa,
The problem you mention is well-known. The Red Hat people are working
hard on a better teTeX package, but the jadetex maintainer also needs
to update jadetex to work with recent teTeX distributions.
Someone suggested demoting teTeX to an older version from Red Hat 5.2,
which I think might work well.
