jadetex 2.3-2 vs. tetex 0.9-17

I've just tried the jadetex 2.3-2 RPM with the tetex version 0.9-17 RPM
which comes with RedHat 6.0.

Now when I run jadetex I get the following error:

$ jadetex ecos-tutorial.tex
This is TeX, Version 3.14159 (Web2C 7.3)
(Fatal format file error; I'm stymied)

Previously it would have said:

$ jadetex ecos-tutorial.tex
This is TeX, Version 3.14159 (Web2C 7.2)
(ecos-tutorial.tex
JadeTeX 1998/10/12: 2.3
(/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/psnfss/t1ptm.fd)
(/usr/share/texmf/tex/jadetex/isoents.tex)
Elements will be labelled

No file ecos-tutorial.aux.
(/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/base/ts1cmr.fd)
(/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/ot2cyr/ot2wncyr.fd)
(/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/psnfss/t1phv.fd)
(/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/psnfss/ts1phv.fd) [1]
(/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/psnfss/ts1ptm.fd) [2]
[snip]

So any suggestions working out what's wrong or where this incompatibility
has arisen? It doesn't give very much info to go on :-/. I'm a bit of a
newbie with the docbook tools I'm afraid. NB I installed the latest versions
of all the RPMs on the docbook-tools FTP site.

Thanks in advance,

Jifl
