is the saxon processing of each XML file this horrendously,

at least a minute per short XML file.
admittedly, this is a saxon processor issue, but holy crud,
this is painful.
I use saxon 6.5.2 and build about 5 megs of output;
Total time for *full* rebuild is about five minutes or less.
For changes only, about 40 seconds.
1gig processor, 500meg memory. Win2k
