hello dennis,
Our company (www.cambridgedocs.com) has a product for transformation
existing files (html, word, etc.) into meaningful XML, without having to
write any code. We have some pre-defined templates for converting to
docbook - which you can customize for your content using a point and click
interface. You should be able to use it to convert a couple thousand pages
into docbook.
If you're interested in learning more or trying out the xDoc Converter,
visit www.cambridgedocs.com or email me at riz@cambridgedocs.com .
Thanks
Riz

Has anyone automated this process? I'm looking for a tool to help me turn a
few thousand pages of extant HTML into DocBook XML.
Thanks.
