DOCBOOK-APPS: jadetex and section headings

I'm puzzled: when I run jade and jadetex on a DocBook document, I'm
finding that sect2 headings sometimes come unstuck from the following
text (i.e. a sect2 heading will appear at the foot of a page by
itself).  In context, such headings are followed by an informaltable
before the first para.  E.g.

<sect2 id="foo"><title>foo</title>
<informaltable frame="none">
  table stuff...
</informaltable>
<para>Para stuff.</para>
</sect2>

I have customized the docbook stylesheets to some extent, but have not
done anything to cancel the "keep with next" feature of section
headings.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.
