Variablelist <term> left justified in PDF output

The <term> in <variablelist> gets moved to the left margin in our PDF
output. The output looks similar to this:
.....................................................................
Chapter 1. Variable Lists
Paragraph text is indented like this. Most of the content of
the
document is indented similarly. But here is what a <variablelist>
renders as:
Term 1
Definition 1.
Term 2
Definition 2.
It should look more or less like this in PDF:
Term 1
Definition 1.
Term 2
Definition 2.
.......................................................................
Does anyone have any comments or solutions before I post this as a bug
on sourceforge? I've attached a test file with SGML source and PDF
output.
We are using OpenJade 1.3, DocBook DSSSL 1.71. and JadeTeX 3.11
Cheerio!
Bob
