I guess the stylesheets need to be tweaked. Saxon seems to (a) assume
that indent="yes" in xsl:output and (b) does indentation inside <pre>
which I might argue is a bug, but I won't.
Try setting indent="no" in xsl:output in your stylesheets. I've added
it to the default stylesheets, but I haven't, um, tested it :-)
