python has the same problem. If you send it a Ctrl-C under cmd.com it will print "KeyboardInterrupt" whereas under Cygwin it prints nothing. Is python more to your taste?

I can attest that Franz is not the only one with this problem. I just upgraded to Cygwin 1.7.15-1 but in vain. Is a fix in the works?
Not from me. I don't do Java.
