Re: 1.7.9-1 dll::init() still causing STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION errors

More information:

Today, I completely deleted and reinstalled cygwin, using the defaults that setup.exe selected, with several additions (development, database, and perl groups, xterm, several network and shell packages). The setup process indicated that the postinstall scripts update-info-dir.sh, apache.sh, apache2.sh, libdb4.5-devel.sh, and tcsh.sh all failed to run. There also does not appear to be a setup log file, and a few packages were skipped - I had to install pdksh by hand, for instance. There were also bash.exe.stackdump and sh.exe.stackdump files in c:\cygwin, which contained the same information as I pasted into my original problem report.

I cannot reliably reproduce the behavior. It seems to occur during fork & exec. I'll pull down the snapshot and see if that helps.

Notes: I see I forgot to attach the output of cygcheck to my initial problem report, so that's attached now (edited to remove sensitive information).

Also, this is not a real reply to my original message; I can't subscribe to the mailing list from here.
