RE: missing paths


Ok, I have installed the profile file, but my .bashrc file does not seem to be sourced automatically.

Also, it is complaining about my group being mkgroup when I know that my /etc/group file is correct.

I did a "reinstall" of cygwin when I installed 1.7.1 over my 1.5.25 install.

It is my impression that this is the way to guarantee the complete install of the OS.

How did such a critical file get missed and how can I guarantee other files were not missed.

Lots. Probably best to reinstall the 'base-files' package at this
point. If you created an /etc/profile just now, delete it first
(because a customised profile won't be overwritten).
