Sorry, your response indicated that there are exceptions Interix would not
handle.
Not giving up, I'd propose a global switch for Interix, and if
particular path cannot be represented - fallback to... Cygwin's representation.
If ugly for the universe, forget, I'll have to cope with egh... a "converter"
for majority of cases and manual editing for minority.
