recurring problem with terminfo

when the current release version of vim is installed with the current
release version of terminfo, running vim makes the following complaint:

E558: Terminal entry not found in terminfo
'cygwin' not known. Available builtin terminals are:
    builtin_riscos
    builtin_amiga
    builtin_beos-ansi
    builtin_ansi
    builtin_pcansi
    builtin_win32
    builtin_vt320
    builtin_vt52
    builtin_xterm
    builtin_iris-ansi
    builtin_debug
    builtin_dumb
defaulting to 'ansi'

this problem has been reported twice before on this mailing list with
respect to earlier versions of terminfo and vim:

for now, reverting to the previous version of terminfo works to keep vim
quiet.

vim:
current version: 7.2-3

terminfo:
current version: 5.7_20090228-1
previous version: 5.5_20061104-1
