While working in xterm windows, just about every day, at some point my XWin.log starts filling up with thousands of lines: ... winTopLevelWindowProc - BitBlt failed: The handle is invalid. ... No windows crash. A search shows that this same problem has been raised several times, but there has not been any satisfactory response. Perhaps this problem is now recognized and can be properly addressed? Since this may be an X problem, I am cross-posting to cygwin and to cygwin-xfree. I attach the output of cygcheck -s -v -r > cygcheck.out There does not seem to be any warning that this is about to happen. My XWin.log shows: ------------8<------------ top cut -> bottom ------------->8------------ _XSERVTransmkdir: ERROR: euid != 0,directory /tmp/.X11-unix will not be created.
