Any reason (besides lack of time/resources) for not updating to a
more recent release?

I ask because CDT (the C/C++ extensions to the open-source Eclipse
IDE) support currently requires gdb 5.2.1 in order to support itegrated
debugging within the IDE. Being able to run Eclipse with a stock Cygwin
install would be a fine thing.

If it is a time/resource problem, is there some way I could assist?
