GCC *is* fully usable.  If you can't build it, use the gcc binary that
is provided.  As you've probably surmised, I don't have the time or
inclination to help other people try to figure out how to build gcc.  I
have no idea why it would be segfaulting or how to fix it.

I suggest debugging the problem in gdb and offering solutions to the
appropriate mailing list, which would be the gcc or gcc-patches mailing
list in this case.
