Charles Wilson and Robert Collins are currently working on the libtool's cygwin port and they have written some
threads in this list and the libtool mailing list.
So the best is to read this messages to get knowledge about the current state and to follow the discussion about
this :-)

Charles, any comments to this ?

Unfortunally I have not much time for the libtool stuff because I'm very busy with get running kde, :-(  but what I
can do is to report about problems with the kde integration
