Shadow Framebuffer Test, RTFM [Was Re: WindowMaker with Cygwin NetRelease & W2kPro]

Ok, Ive finished thwacking myself on the head now and chanting RTFM =) 
after a few brief searches, my alt-tab prob and color pallete are solved 
via the Shadow Framebuffer Xwin.exe binary.
