FOPEN_MAX

Hello.

Why is FOPEN_MAX set to 20 in the Cygwin version of GCC (and apparently, every
other C compiler for Windows)?

Solaris defaults to 63 and Linux to 256. What is so different about Windows?

Can one increase this limit? If so, how? Is there some NT equivalent to
ulimit -n?

Cheers and thanks,
Stephen Davies.
