Hi,
I reinstalled xinit and xorg-server (Cygwin) because it wont start.
I posted this on the Cygwin Ports newsgroup but think this is a
general problem that I could received debugging information/steps from
the Xfree group.
When I start up X via:
# startx -- :0 -clipboard -nolock&
The window comes up blank and then closed (exits).
I see on the terminal:
#
xinit: XFree86_VT property unexpectedly has 0 items instead of 1
/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc: line 53: xclock: command not found/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc
: line 52: twm: command not found
xinit: connection to X server lost
waiting for X server to shut down
[1]+ Done startx -- :0 -clipboard -nolock
I expected to see 3 xterms. (I know about xclock and twm not starting
because I did not and do not want to install these programs.)
How does one debug this?
The /var/log/xwin/XWin.0.log log file has:
