x-server fails to exit under xp64

Choosing the x-server exit option causes the server to go into a CPU loop
(taskmgr shows 100% CPU time). Taskmgr can stop the process.
Can successfully 'kill' the server from a bash shell.
$ XWin -v
Welcome to the XWin X Server
Vendor: The Cygwin/X Project
Release: 6.8.99.901-4
