You can have the X screen larger than the physical screen with a
non-multiwindow window manager, by using the "-scrollbars" option and
setting the screen size to the max window size (e.g., using "-screen 0
1280 1024"). I don't think the scrolling feature of Exceed is implemented
in Cygwin/X.
