This is one I can answer, I think. You have to go back to the reinstall
site and start the reinstall. When you get to the point that you specify
things to install scroll down until you see the vim (vi iMproved) package.
Select this package, for some reason it doesn't automatically get installed.
Things should work great for you after that. BTW, I always download the
binaries, if you download the source you'll have to build the editor.
