Hello,
on the remote machine you must do this
/usr/X11R6/bin/xmodmap /usr/share/xmodmap/xmodmap.fr
when you are logged or in your log script :o)
and you will have french keyboard
xmodmap.fr can be in other location than /usr/share/xmodmap
do a find :o) on the remote machine :)
