That is somewhat misleading advice. There is code in the server that
detects which engines types are supported. Engine 4, the best performing
engine, is used whenever it is supported. Thus, to tell the user to use
engine 4 is likely to just send them on a wild goose chase. Jean-Marc has
Windows 2000 which means that DirectX 4+ is installed, so XWin will always
use engine 4 on his system.
