It means that there have been bug fixes on the xf-4_1-branch since
XFree86 4.1.0 was released, but I doubt a 4.1.1 that ONLY fixes bugs
against 4.1.0 will ever make it out. This branch indicates a stable
4.1.x line of servers.

XFree86 4.2.0 will be the next release, it may have new bugs etc and
there will be a xf-4_2-branch that will maintain the 4.2.x for stable
servers.

etc, etc, etc.....

Alan.
