installing cygwin/XFree86 on windows 2000

Hello,
I followed all the step in the online documentation to install
cygwin\XFree86,
but when starting startxwin.bat,
a pop-up message says:
Cannot find the file 'xterm' (or one of its components). Make sute the
path and filename 
are correct and that all required libraries are available.

in the command window I got:

Xwindows starts but without an xterm, and it is not possible to start an
xterm.

During the install, one asked me to modify a termcap file, but I did not
really understand what I was supposed to do.

Do you have any idea on how to solve my problem.
