I should note, that this (I guess) could be a generic situation for developers,
who
uses laptops in the office with an external 19'' monitor or so and are working
at home
or in the train, beech or anywhere else with the laptop display.

On finished working in the office they close the laptop for standy or suspend
and later
opens the display for resuming without external monitor. Currently they had to
restart
x and kde or anything else.
