Check your Xext-def.cpp in lib/Xext
It has #ifdef __CYGWIN__ && defined(HAS_SHAM)
You may need to add HAS_SHM flag.
I compiled with Alan patch as it is, without your modifications,
and it compiled.
However I think your errors are coming because shm.h? Are they
being included?
