Re: Cannot open display problem?


Hi,

I can telnet from bash prompt but I can't ftp from bash shell (see below).
I don't have problems running ftp from MSDOS prompt.

$ ftp
Connected to misd.stanford.edu
220 misd FTP server (SunOS 5.6) ready.
Name (misd.stanford.edu:hung):
331 Password required for hung.
Password:            <never return>

I ran netstat -a from another window and found the ftp connection.

Active Connections
Proto    Local Address        Foreign Address        State
...
TCP    192.168.0.4:1530    171.64.74.96:21        ESTABLISHED
...
