XDMCP to what? A SUN or SGI
could simply be XKesymDB issue?
SET XKeysymDB=c:\cygwin\usr\X11R6\lib\X11\XkesymDB
for example

Subject: Loosing mouse and keyboard events??
Hello all
I have been using cygwin xfree for a while and have struck an unusual
issue.
I use xwin for a xdmcp connection to our linux server, after a period of
time of inactivity (say after coming in on a morning having left it
running
all night) I find that the keyboard no longer functions in any of the
xterm's that have been opened.
This morning I found for the first time that the mouse clicking the
xterm
close icon, would not work (although I could drag the xterm arround).
Has anyone else had similar problems?
I am running the latest xfree-4.0.3 downloaded yesterday. It is running
on
Windows NT4.
I suspect that the problem may be related either to the windows
screensaver,
the xwindows screensaver, or the fact that I minimise the xwin window on
the
windows machine.
For the moment I have to restart xwin which is OK but a bit of an
inconvenience.
