While I'm not chris, it's not uncommon for package developers to point
interestedusers in the direction of a snapshot. Thats why there is a
clause
"unless you have been specifically told to try one of these".

The idea being that non-bleeding edge users remain on the stable
released code, and those who want (say postgres) that needs a snapshot
are told "get the snapshot"

And of course, because you have a small user base on the snapshot code,
any errors don't result in the whole community crashing :]

I agree with Suhaibs suggestion. There aren't any issues with that
snapshot that will interact with existing applications AFAIK, thus it
should be quite stable.
