RE: startup problems

Actually Cygwin installation and cygcheck issues should be taken to Cygwin
mailing list. I will gladly answer the posts (provided it comes through
cygwin-xfree mailing list) if it relates to XF86. However, how to install
Cygwin 1.1.x and remove Cygwin B20.x, should be taken to Cygwin mailing
list.

Beside cygcheck report for B20.1 ain't do any good. NO CYGWIN VERSION OLDER
THEN CYGWIN 1.1.2 are supported. If a user think B20.1 is what he needs,
then please visit http://www.xfree86.org, downlaod the source code from CVS
and compile it yourself and be prepared to fix ON YOUR OWN the subroutines
which use UNIX sockets and /dev/zero, because B20.x cannot handle those.

Graham,
please keep replies cc'd to the list. I will not answer direct
responses on this list. (I am the FAQ maintainer, not one of the
coders!)

You need to uninstall ALL OF CYGWIN B20. Its NOT supported anymore by
cygnus or Redhat, and the cygwin net release is not supported
in combination with earlier cygwin versions.
