I can't get an xterm started. It doesn't launch from the startxwin.bat. I also tried doing it manually at the command shell, but it gives an error that it can't connect to the display.

I've got a pcmcia card (Xircom), and I've also tried dialup. Tcpip seems to work in that I can ping 127.0.0.1 and my actual IP address.

I tried:

SET DISPLAY=127.0.0.1:0

and that didn't help either (I also tried setting it to the actual IP address).
