Ok, I've tested test-7 on my win98 systems. (MGA400, ct65550
It works. A bit slow, but thats because of the offscreen memory.
Then i noticed some curiosity from the xserver - it always segfaults
when it is reset (all client connections got closed)
i'll attach the stackdump (this should be from XWin.exe from test3)
