fixed font problem: mkfontdir didn't solve

   Well. let me tell exactly what I did.

1) got cygwin package and uncompressed it at c:\cygwin
2) runned mount to bind c:\cygwin as / (textmode)
3) my path variable is showed bellow:

PATH=C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;C:\CYGWIN\USR\BIN;C:\UTIL\ZIP;C:\CYGWIN\USR\X11R6\BIN;\USR\BIN\X11

strange... I didn't set "\usr\bin\x11" to PATH... It was added after I
tried to run xfree 4.0.

3) got all binary packages of xfree 4.0 and uncompressed it using a
bzip2 for win32 (not the cygwin bzip2) (I used WinZIP for all tar
extraction)

4) tried to run xwin typing startxwin and the screen apear for some
seconds and it closes. guess the error message!
"could not open default font 'fixed'"

5) read some e-mails in this list and runned mkfontdir in all subdirs of
/usr/x11r6/lib/x11/fonts and its subdiretories too (like latin2/100dpi).
but I'm still getting the same error message.

well, I didn't find much documentation about troubleshooting with XFREE
4.0, but this error message seems to be very common (as I've read on the
net).

now I have no idea what's wrong. any idea ?
