New package: xterm-185

The package 'xterm' is now available with the Cygwin
distribution.

Description
===========
The xterm program is a terminal emulator for the X Window System. It
provides DEC VT102 and Tektronix 4014 compatible terminals for
programs that can't use the window system directly.

This version implements ISO/ANSI colors using the "new" color model
(i.e., background color erase). It also implements most of the control
sequences for VT220.

This package replaces the version of xterm that was available in pieces of the XFree86-bin, XFree86-etc, XFree86-html, and XFree86-man packages. xterm has been removed from these packages in the latest revision.

xterm-185 is 11 releases newer than xterm-174 that was previously distributed in the aforementioned packages.

Change Log entries for xterm-185 through xterm-174 (and earlier) are here:

To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on
the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your
system. Once you've downloaded setup.exe, run it, select "XFree86"
and then click on the appropriate field until the above announced
version number appears if it is not displayed already.

If your mirror doesn't yet have the latest version of this package after
24 hours, you can either continue to wait for that site to be updated or
you can try to find another mirror.

I would appreciate if you would use this mailing list rather than
emailing me directly. This includes ideas and comments about the setup
utility or Cygwin/X in general.

If you want to make a point or ask a question the Cygwin/X mailing
list is the appropriate place.
