Thank you Chris. I was kinda nervous about committing into HEAD... and
I'm not reassured by the hiccups that have occured. I hope they havent'
inconvenienced anyone too much!

FYI My working directory here was :pserver before... and I'm happy for
it to stay that way:] (The ssh access was solely for read access from
behind the office firewall).
