Did I say "btw." lately?
Btw., it's *much* faster accessing the same dir as NFS share than
accessing it as Samba share. I ran this command:
time ls -lR > /dev/null
on the same machine against the Cygwin build tree on the same remote
Linux server a couple of times.
On the Samba share:
real 0m42.860s
user 0m0.078s
sys 0m22.171s
On the NFS share:
real 0m8.921s
user 0m0.062s
sys 0m7.436s
