Problem building tool-chain for amd64->powerpc64

Hello all,

I try to build a tool-chain for a Power7 (IBM Power 750) machine with amd64 (Ubuntu lucid lynx). It seems I ran into the problem from http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=41818.
Despite the patch associated with this bug is applied (to gcc-4.4.5) I get this error:

Any ideas?
