It wasn't dying, so it must have been warnings.  It's been a few
days and I don't have those log files anymore.  I agree that to
us it seems that it should work but I don't know the compiler
internals.  Right now I'm still learning how to change the things
I can to work around the things I can't (which is where my patches
are coming from).
