i'm just going by what's there already -- that's the name it appears
under in the earlier glibc patch dirs.

i wasn't proposing that earlier patchset as a finished product, just a
quick and dirty hack to throw in there so that at least *testing* with
glibc-2.7 was a possibility.  there's going to be plenty of cleanup
happening in the future, i'm sure.
