Then do it like this: 

- if there is a "series" file in a patch directory, use the order
  specified there

- if not, use the alphabetical variant. 

I suppose Sascha even has a patch to do so, but unfortunately the
Pengutronix crew's bureau hours don't include sunday night at a quarter
past eleven ;-)
