what might be easier is to put in everything you can lay your hands on
and make a beta release available.  let some of us pound on it, find
glitches and submit fixes for that, until it converges to something
resembling stability.

or does that make your source code management too cumbersome?

p.s.  i'm proposing a beta-level release since it's almost a certainty
that something really useful is going to be overlooked, and this gives
us a chance to quickly submit a fix for it.
