RE: gdb and invalid lvalue in assignment

Hi,

I hit exactly the same problem with one of the GCC 4.1 versions while
building gdb using gdb.sh for arm-linux target. However, with GCC 3.2.3 on
RedHat, built it without a problem (both arm-*-gdb and gdbserver).

I've noticed on my Debian box something interesting while building other
parts of the cross tool chain (didn't build gdb there): some scripts
complained that 4.0.2 was "bad" because it was "too old", so I used 3.4.x

r.

I have no idea! Should I have mentioned that I am using Dan's
crosstool-0.38? Probably! ;-)
