i'm going to take a shot at building for SH3 with the newest pieces:

	gcc-4.0.1
	glibc-2.3.5
	binutils-2.16.1
	linux-2.6.12.0
	libc-headers-2.6.12.0

and see what happens.

p.s.  refresh my memory -- did i need to specify

  GLIBC_EXTRA_CONFIG="--without-fp"

for SH3?  my mind is failing ...
