You can see a partial matrix of what worked for me at

It only goes up to powerpc-440, but that's at least some assurance
that it'll work with other powerpc models.

And "the latest of everything" means CVS!? 

No, I meant the 'latest release'.  e.g. gcc-3.4.3, glibc-2.3.3
(I think 2.3.4 is out, but I haven't tried it).

When are you going to release crosstool-0.28-rc38 or maybe even crosstool-0.28?
